Tonalá

Owner Representative of a building located in Roma Norte in Mexico City, with 3 levels and a Roof Garden

The project is located at 110 Tonalá Street, in the Roma Norte neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc District, in Mexico City. The building is limited to its surroundings by housing complexes of the same type. The building consists of a basement with storage rooms and a commercial area, a ground floor with a commercial area and parking, 3 levels with 4 apartments and a Roof Garden.

The building was constructed on an area of approximately 110.40 m2. A foundation slab was used that occupied the entire surface of the property.

The peculiarity of the vertical structure of Tonalá consisted in projecting rectangular columns, serving as confinement elements for the different spaces of the apartments, breaking with the classic square shape.

A brown pigmented concrete was used for the entire structure. This material has the characteristic of being visible and not requiring finishing after being stripped of formwork.

A façade was created in its main view built with cream-colored partitions to generate an environment of sun and shade between the balcony.

The foundation involved excavation with great caution due to the existing adjacent buildings, where re-foundations were carried out to reinforce the buildings. Due to the fluid nature of the pigmented concrete, the formwork had to be reinforced and any holes covered to avoid concrete loss.

Supervision and monitoring of construction work at all stages of construction, identification of risks and/or delays with a preventive approach, calculation of materials for subsequent acquisition by the developer. Weekly and monthly reports were generated, where the activities described above were reported using 3D models.
