Temozón
Owner Representative for the construction of a housing complex in the town of Temozón in Mérida, Yucatán
The housing complex is located on 69th Street, in the town of Temozón, in the city of Mérida, Yucatán. This area is characterized by having similar and growing developments. It has approximately 1,148.00 m2 of construction and is made up of 7 houses, which were developed on 3 levels, ground floor, upper floor and second level.
The type of foundation used was with continuous masonry footings, where the stone produced by the excavation was used. The natural stone was found approximately 40 cm from the natural ground.
The type of vertical structure used was with Armex type castles and castles drowned in walls.
The construction system for the slabs was based on prefabricated joists and polystyrene vaults to lighten the slab.
The project in its main access is made up of a vehicular and pedestrian access. A space was designed to maneuver the entrances and exits of vehicles and connect with the parking lot of each home. On the outside, a characteristic finish of the region called chukum will be applied, which is a cream-colored paste that is applied over the last cement/sand plaster.
Adaptation of the preliminary project to the real geometry of the land. This activity involved making a topographical survey of the land and comparing it with the preliminary project. Differences were detected and the design had to be adapted.
