Alternate Scenic and Acapulco Tunnel

The Project consists of 5 fronts: Brisamar Junction, Tunnel, Cayaco Junction, Surface Section (Elevated Viaduct) and Diamante Junction, which are already in operation.

The specialties involved were Tunnels, Structures, Foundations, Installations, and Quality Management Systems, where TEMOCSA carried out total supervision in each one.

This megaproject sought to generate new communication routes between the golden and diamond zones of Acapulco, which improved the quality of transportation for users, reducing their travel times by up to 75%.

The macro tunnel contemplated for this 3.2 km project, which was built and equipped to international standards, is compared to technology of the level such as the Mont Blanc Tunnel (France), or the San Gotthard Tunnel (Switzerland), or the Rennsteig Tunnel (Germany), among others.

The project, in addition to providing comfort to users, reduced accidents in the area, and additionally, reduced the environmental impact thanks to the passage of a mountain through a tunnel.
